Social Entrepreneurship In France
Overview
There are three forms of tourism social entrepreneurship in France:
1. Social inclusion through tourism — making travel accessible to people who otherwise cannot afford or participate in it: lower-income families, children, seniors, people with disabilities, etc.
2. Community economic development through tourism — using tourism to create local employment, support local producers, preserve rural communities and keep tourism revenue within the destination.
3. Cultural/environmental social entrepreneurship — using tourism revenue to preserve heritage, crafts, food traditions, landscapes or other cultural and environmental resources.
